1. Post Relevant Trust Building Content

✔ DO YOU KNOW YOUR BUYER BELIEFS?
What are the 5 to 10 beliefs your customers have to have to buy your SaaS? What things do they have to think about themselves and their businesses to want your SaaS?

✔ DO YOU KNOW THE CORE CUSTOMER PROBLEMS YOUR SAAS SOLVES?
Can you quantify and dollarize the impact the customer gets from purchasing your SaaS? If not a financial return, what emotional or satisfaction will they get from your SaaS?

✔ IS YOUR CONTENT SYSTEMATICALLY AND RELIABLY DISCUSSING THE ABOVE?
Your content has two goals. Goal A is to discuss customer problems and position your SaaS as the solution to their problem. Goal B is to actively create the right beliefs in the mind of the customer. Are you doing this?

✔ ARE YOU POSTING ON A REGULAR BASIS?
The goal should be to create as many of these organic trust assets as possible. Really you should aim for 30+ content assets. Lots of SaaS companies have none, thus you have a great foundation!

2. Running Ads to Your Content

✔ ARE YOU RELIABLY RUNNING ADS TO YOUR CONTENT?
Organic traffic can work as is, however it does not systematically scale. You got to run ads to test out the value preposition of your SaaS. DO NOT run ads straight to a sign up page!

✔ ARE YOU TARGETING THE RIGHT PEOPLE WITH YOUR ADS?
Google, Meta, LinkedIn and other ad platform have super tight ad targeting platforms. You got to ensure your ads are reaching people who have the problem you are solving for.

✔ ARE YOU CREATING RELEVANT ADS?
Your ads should aim to educate the customer by sending them helpful tips to solve their problem. Then, you send them to your organic content page. DO NOT PITCH your SaaS immediately! That will come later.

✔ ARE YOU MONITORING YOUR AD SPEND?
Ads should be run reliably to generate a consistent stream of traffic to your content. However, you should come up with an affordable daily budget for ad spend and spend that. Be financially wise!

3. Create a One Time Offer

✔ WHY NOT A FREE TRIAL?
Trust me, no one wants a free trial. We have to enter our credit card data and risk forgetting and getting auto billed. Please do not do this.

✔ WHAT CAN YOU OFFER OF VALUE FOR A FIXED COST WHICH BUILDS TRUST AND CREDIBILITY IN YOUR SAAS?
A particular chunk of software? A consulting call to integrate software within their life? Remember, a OTO is low commitment, low risk for the buyer.

✔ DOES THE OTO CREATE AN ROI FOR THE BUYER?
Remember, an important goal of the OTO is to get a quick win for the SaaS customer. Work hard to ensure your SaaS has a specific emotional or financial return for the customer.

✔ IS THE OTO ATTACHED TO YOUR CONTENT?
The goal of content is to get the buyer from zero trust to some trust. The goal of the OTO is get the buyer from some trust to higher trust by buying your offer. Remember, low commitment, low risk.

4. Boost Conversion Rates Through Follow Up

✔ ARE YOU RUNNING RETARGETING ADS TO CONTENT WATCHERS?
Run retargeting ads to these folks to educate them and to furthermore get them interested in your OTO. Do NOT run ads to your subscription offer!

✔ HAVE YOU CREATED AN EMAIL LIST FOR WARM TRAFFIC?
This should be for people who viewed your organic trust building content. I prefer retargeting because the impression costs are lower, however if you can stomach email list costs, promote your OTO to them!

✔ DO YOU HAVE A CLEAR TRANSITION FROM OTO TO SUBSCRIBER?
THIS is how you get SaaS subscriber cheaply. The OTO helps neutralize ad spend, and customer build sufficient trust in you to purchase your subscription. Work on this process.

✔ WHAT IS YOUR REFERRAL STRATEGY?
Customer who bought can be the ultimate affiliates. Work on creating a good referral promotion strategy to drive word of mouth.

Think of trust as a battery. Once you fill up the battery, the customer will buy your product. Focus on building trust through educational ads, trust building content, and high quality OTOs. THEN offer your SaaS subscription on the backend. This is how the game is played.
